Lebron James Has Interesting Thing To Say In Recent NBA Trade Rumors About Kevin Love
Cleveland Cavaliers are sitting at no. 1 in Eastern Conference but that does not mean they have the best team and they are to be spared from any NBA trade rumors.
For the nth time, their starting power forward Kevin Love is rumored to be on the trading block, this time for Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.
Cavs' leader and superstar Lebron James is 100 percent sure that none of those talks are true.
"That's the thing, I can look at it and say it's false," James told reporters ahead of the NBA All-Star Game 2016 as reported by MLive. "And that's the last thing I was worrying about right now, and that's trade talks for our team."
There have been rumors that Love is not comfortable playing with James and other teammates or vice versa.
The four-time MVP insisted none of those is true. In fact, he sees the 2011 Most Improved Player as one of the key guys in the team.
"Obviously with myself and Kyrie (Irving) and Kev, we kind of spearhead the whole thing," he added. "We're focused on the main thing, knowing what the main thing is every day and we'll give ourselves a great chance."
The NBA trade rumor involving Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony first surfaced a couple of days ago.
New York Daily News writer Frank Isola said Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, as well as Boston Celtics, probably as conduit, are already in preliminary discussions for a trade. The main point of the discussion is that Anthony will be shipped to Cavs.
The third overall draft pick of 2003 has the same opinion with James. He refuted the rumors and jokingly said that he only gets mentioned in NBA trade rumors because of the fact that he is with New York Knicks.
"When you're in New York, you're always up for grabs, I'll tell you that," he explained. "Trades are always up for grabs. It's always, 'Who's next?' There's nothing guaranteed when you're in New York. But I don't pay attention to those rumors."
