Georges St. Pierre Comments On Possible UFC Return; Reveals How OC Disorder Forced Him To Retire

George St. Pierre to return in UFC this 2016?

Reports of potential Georges St. Pierre return this 2016 has left many MMA and UFC fans abuzz.

GSP retired in 2013 but many thought he still has some gas left in the tank. UFC president Dana White said in an interview that the multi-titled fighter is done.

However, for the "semi" retired Canadian pro, the last say is on him. Truth is, he wants back.

"The truth is (the UFC) called me a few times," Georges St. Pierre said according to a report from Fox Sports. "Sometimes they make the other people call me to have the message. The truth is if I want to be back, it's going to be up to me to tell them when I want to get back."

His comments came after White said he left the sport and he had no more interest in fighting, thus a Georges St. Pierre return this 2016 is a little far-fetched.

"I've been dealing with athletes since I was 19 years old, and I saw it on his face after the Johny Hendricks fight," White said as per Bloody Elbow. "We went backstage and we talked -- you can ask Lorenzo -- I looked at Lorenzo last night, and I said GSP is done."

"He said 'are you crazy?' I said he's done."

The UFC official could be right. GSP said it himself that he did not have fun anymore in his last few fights. Georges St. Pierre also thought he will not return anymore even if he is still young.

"The last two or three fights, I didn't have fun," he said. "I did it because I had to, not because I wanted to and I had too much pressure, too much criticism, too many things for too long and it's very hard when you're world champion, all your life is directed (on that)."

He also cited his obsessive-compulsive condition as one of the factors why he leaned towards walking away from the sport in 2013.

"Especially for me with my obsessive-compulsive disorder, I wanted to be the best in the world so everything I do, it's directed on that," he continued. "That's all that mattered to me. I needed to step out of if to have a normal social life. To take a mental break of all that."

Georges St. Pierre retired with 25 wins and two losses. He was admitted to the MMA Freak Hall of Fame in 2013.
