Korean veteran singer Insooni dismissed allegations involving her in alleged tax evasion. It was reported on Friday that the 58-year-old singer was accused of evading approximately $4.13 million in taxes by singer Choi Sung Su's wife, courtesy of Korea Herald.

Choi's wife, surnamed Park, reportedly presented documents to the Supreme Prosecutor's Office that would prove Insooni's tax evasion in 2008.

In addition, the National Tax Office reportedly mandated Insooni to pay more than $600,000 in taxes on the same year after the singer filed a return with a lower income.

"From June 22, 2005 to November 23, 2007, Insooni evaded taxes by using a borrowed-name bank account," Park said, courtesy of Soompi. "She also made omissions during an inquiry in 2008 by the Seoul Regional National Tax Service."

However, Blue Sky Entertainment said they have not heard of the issue involving Insooni in alleged tax evasion.

"We never heard about it (tax evasion) and we'll clarify our stance after checking out the facts," the entertainment agency said, via Korea Joongang Daily.

The agency added their party has yet to receive proper complaint regarding the issue.

"We have not yet received the formal complaint. We do not recognize any part of Ms. Park's statement nor have we ever evaded taxes," it said.

Insooni made her debut with girl group "Hee Sisters" in 1978. The veteran singer has recorded 14 regular albums in her entire career. Being in the industry for more than three decades, Insooni still has a wide range of supporters. She also dubbed as R&B diva.

In 1980, Insooni released her first album as a solo artist, entitled "Fate." Since then, her career took off and big breaks were given to her. Insooni was one of the few artists who were given the honor to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Aside from that, the veteran singer also received a number of top awards at broadcasters' annual events.
