‘Fifth Harmony’s’ New Album Described As ‘Dope’ By Band Member; New Song Has 'Mad Max' Vibe?
Fifth Harmony is gearing up for the release of its new album, with recent rumors revealing that the singing group has wrapped up shooting a video for its new song and band members' plans of pursuing solo careers.
In an interview with Play's Top Talk via Radio.com, Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke shared details of the quintet's new album, saying that a lot of hit makers have contributed to their latest studio effort.
"We didn't write on this album but we worked with so many amazing writers like Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, Stargate, MXM; we worked with a lot of pretty phenomenal people," Brooke disclosed.
The 22-year-old singer likewise hinted that there will be collaborations in Fifth Harmony's new album although she refused to divulge who these guest artists will be.
"It's so dope...the adjective I want to use is 'dope,'" she said in describing the results of their band's partnership with the talented singers who are featured in the album.
Brooke enthused that their sophomore album is an improvement over their last record.
"The sound is different," she said of Fifth Harmony's new album. "Sonically it's a step up.
[What] I love about this album is that it does have a pretty consistent lane but it also has variety which is awesome," she continued. " And we are more vulnerable on this album as far as what we speak about, and we talk about."
But according to the San Antonio native, what makes Fifth Harmony's new album special was the vulnerability shown by its members during the making of the record.
"And we are more vulnerable on this album as far as what we speak about, and we talk about," Brooke said. "And we've matured a lot on this album as well."
In a separate interview with "Cliché" magazine, Normani Kordei, confirmed that despite the female group's success, its members are still seriously considering to pursue solo careers in the future.
"Yes, in the future," Kodei said. "In the beginning, we all had intentions of pursuing solo careers."
"I'm still an individual, as well as the others, meaning we have slightly different visions and aspirations," she elaborated. "We have a ton of work [to do] and much more to accomplish as Fifth Harmony before that happens."
In the meantime, Beautiful Ballad shared a Twitter photo of Fifth Harmony while shooting a video for their album's new song.
Although the band nor their production team have not released details about the new song's video, it seems to have a "Mad Max" vibe to it.
As anticipation over the new album of Fifth Harmony reaches fever pitch, the group's star is expected to shine even brighter in the world stage.
