According to the source, the "Hunger Games" star's close friend Amy Schumer was reportedly the reason behind the two's recent closeness.
"Amy had actually been pushing Jen to date him, telling her how hot Chris is and how crazy she'd be if she didn't go for it," the unnamed informant disclosed.
However, it was noted that whatever it is that Chris Evans and Jennifer Lawrence have right now is still "very new" considering that "They just started seeing each other a couple of weeks ago," something which "Only their closest friends know."
Meanwhile, it was also divulged that the rumored couple has "only gone on two dates so far, but they have been texting each other and talking on the phone."
"They even had a pizza and movie date at Jen's place," the source added.
