Dragon Ball Super Manga News: Creator To Forbid Future Live-Action Films Or TV Anime Amid Chapter 8 Release?
Many manga fans are still talking over the news of "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 8 release last month.
There have been leaks of manga scans online and the latest chapter only got "Dragon Ball Super" fans thirsting for more.
"As it appears Universe 7 has to fight with one less fighter," Movie Pilot wrote in a news article recapping the latest chapter of "Dragon Ball Super" manga. "We didn't see any hint or attempt of bringing a replacement. And that's very unlikely to happen unless Beerus-Champa agrees upon that in the middle of the tournament."
"The tournament also officially started in this chapter," the news article added. "The first match is between Goku and Botamo... Well, Goku didn't power up but neither did Botamo."
Aside from the release of Chapter 8, fans are also talking about the recently released V Jump Dragon Ball 30th Anniversary Super History Book.
The remarks of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama about TV anime and live-action adaptations of the manga particularly sparked interest from fans.
"Inside me, Dragon Ball became a thing of the past, but later I got upset at the live-action film, revised the script for the anime film, and complained about the quality of the TV anime," Toriyama reportedly said, as quoted by Anime News Network. "I guess at some point it became a work that I like so much that I can't leave it alone."
There are speculations about the specific projects Toriyama could be pertaining to.
"These comments were generally interpreted as a swipe at the poorly received Dragonball: Evolution and the recent series Dragon Ball Super, which has suffered from animation errors," the article added.
Is there a chance that the Dragon Ball creator may not be too enthusiastic about upcoming TV and film adaptation projects?
Nothing's for sure. So far this year, there are no reported accurate plans for a TV or movie adaptation of "Dragon Ball Super" yet.
Amid theories and speculations, Toriyama is yet to issue a statement clarifying news rumors that he wouldn't want "Dragon Ball Super" manga to be used for future adaptations.
