Apple Watch 2 Rumors: Second Generation Smartwatch To Hit The Market In September

A handful of Apple Watch 2 rumors claim that the second generation smartwatch will finally hit the market sometime in September. However, some also claim that the flagship smartwatch from Apple might be released earlier than originally anticipated.
Some tech sites originally reported that the Apple Watch 2 release date is in September. However, Apple's component supplier Quanta hinted that the smartwatch might be released within the second quarter of 2016, according to Mac World.
"Quanta and Apple are currently developing the second-generation of the Apple Watch, expected late next year in the second quarter," Quanta founder and chairman Barry Lam said in a statement acquired by Tech Radar.
New reports also claim that Quanta will be the sole production partner of Apple for the second generation of Apple Watch. The Cupertino-based company decided to lower its production estimates therefore sticking with a single production company.
But some tech analysts said that Lam might be referring to the production date of the Apple Watch 2 and not its release date. In any case, if its production date will start in the second quarter of 2016, it will still launch ahead of the original September date.
The rumors are rife that the new Apple Watch will be launched in March, alongside the iPad Air 3 and the Apple 5se. While the tech giant still has to confirm all these rumors, there are strong indications pointing to the possibility of the launch in March.
Per rumors, the next generation Apple Watch 2 will have an integrated wireless chipset. This will allow the smartwatch to function without the need to pair it with an iPhone.
There are also other Apple Watch 2 rumors claiming that the smartwatch will have a video camera which will allow users to make and receive video calls through FaceTime, instead of just plain audio calls.
Pricing for the Apple Watch 2 is still unknown but tech experts believe that Apple will have the estimate retail price of the smartwatch once it is launched this March.
