An Old Foe Is Introduced As A New Villain In 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Trailer

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" live-action movie was poorly received by critics but earned $493 million at the box office against a $125 million budget.

As a result, Paramount has ordered a sequel, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2," which features more of the original series' villains, as seen in this recently released trailer.

The 44-second trailer gave a glimpse at the big screen iterations of villains Bebop and Rocksteady. The preview also introduced one of the franchise's most popular villains, Krang.

According to Cinema Blend, Krang's appearance in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" was only confirmed last month. The short trailer doesn't have a clear shot of the baddie, but it is evident that his appearance has been altered for the adaptation to make him more realistic.

Nonetheless, fans of the franchise are looking forward to seeing the sinister alien brain's debut on the big screen.

Returning to their roles are Megan Fox as April O' Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo, Pete Ploszek (motion capture) and Johnny Knoxville (voice) as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Danny Woodburn (motion capture), Tony Shalhoub (voice) as Splinter and Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick.

Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio will also appear, marking the Victoria Secret beauty's debut in an acting role. She will play Arnett's Vern Fenwick's love interest. Ambrosio has previously appeared in "Casino Royale" and TV series' "Entourage" and "Gossip Girl."

"Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" star Brian Tee will appear in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" as the younger version of Shredder, replacing Tohoru Masamune who played the role in the first film.

Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes' Andrew Form and Brad Fuller produced the movie. David Green ("Earth To Echo") directed the film from a screenplay by Andrew Nemec and Josh Applebaum.

The movie is due out in theaters on June 3, 2016.

Stay tuned for more on the trailer of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" as information becomes available.
