Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still retired... for now.

There has been calls for the undefeated American to come out of retirement and in his latest media appearance, it looks his retirement might not be final.

"I'm saving these for number 50...these number 50," Mayweather said to Fighthype.com while showing off a pair of trunks to his audience during his European tour.

He currently has 49 wins under his belt to tie the record set by Rocky Marciano. Winning no. 50 certainly holds a certain allure.

Some people are not convinced about Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s retirement. In another recent appearance, he said he does not miss boxing but insisted that that he is not really sure about being retired.

"I don't really miss it," he told Boxing Scene. "I fought for 37 years. ... This time in my children's life is very, very valuable. I have three children that are about to go to college really soon, so that's very important to me now. I missed a lot of valuable time where I could have been spending time with my children because I gave boxing my whole life."

Before that, he revealed he received nine-figure offer to come out of retirement.

"It's been crazy numbers that's been thrown at me of course, nine figures," he told BBC World Service Sport.

"You know, I've had money thrown at me from so many different countries... If I get the itch to come back, it really won't be for the money but I'll have to get paid, that's why the nickname is Floyd "Money" Mayweather."

Freddie Roach, the trainer of Floyd's biggest rival Manny Pacquiao, also doubted that Floyd Mayweather Jr's retirement is final.

"The way they both spend money, maybe they will fight again," Roach said during the press tour for the Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley fight, as reported by The Guardian.

"Manny is running for senator and that's going to cost him a lot of money. That's how votes go in his country: you pay for votes."
