Matt Damon Reveals ‘Jason Bourne’ Spoilers In Line With Super Bowl Trailer
Fans were enthralled when they got a glimpse of Matt Damon in the trailer of the fifth installment of the "Bourne Identity" franchise, "Jason Bourne" that aired during the Super Bowl this Feb. 7, 2016.
It was reported by Cinema Blend that fans were able to learn about the official title of Matt Damon's upcoming film, which is "Jason Bourne" as seen from the trailer shown during the 2016 Super Bowl, and got a reasonable serving of snippets depicting the actor in an array of action-packed moments.
Meanwhile, Matt Damon gave his fans more reason to watch the upcoming "Jason Bourne" film as he dished out more details regarding the movie during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Damon went on to state that the latest installment will go deeper than "Ultimatum."
"He's living with the same things as he was before, and then he goes to find Julia Stiles' character, who basically says 'just because you remember everything, doesn't mean you know everything,'" the renowned actor said. "So you find him in a place that's dark and unresolved."
"This is the completion of this journey that started in 'The Bourne Identity.' It's part of the first three, it's not a whole new chapter. It feels like the conclusion, even though we're not saying it's the conclusion, it feels like the conclusion of my identity journey. It goes deeper than 'Ultimatum', basically."
The source even speculated that the unveiling of the latest installment's title "Jason Bourne," via the trailer shown in the Super Bowl, could have made it possible for the filmmakers to distance themselves from the mixed reviews that "The Bourne Legacy" received back in 2012.
Moreover, the trailer for Matt Damon in "Jason Bourne" was ranked fourth in the movie trailers shown during the Super Bowl, as stated by RollingStone.
The source noted that the film's trailer earned itself a spot on its list when it, most especially, teased fans with the preview of Tommy Lee Jones reappearing in the titular franchise once again.
Matt Damon's "Jason Bourne" movie is scheduled to be released on July 29, 2016.
