A new HTC One M10 leak allegedly confirmed that the Taiwan-based tech company has abandoned the 1080p display.

A series of photos from @LlabTooFeR revealed that the upcoming flagship, codenamed Perfume, will come out with WQHD design.

The said HTC One M10 leak suggested that the resolution will be higher than 1080p. Meanwhile, the rumored 5.1inch screen turned out to be bigger by 0.1inch, BitBag reported.

Venture Beat added that the HTC One M10 will be the first flagship device to feature an upgraded resolution.

Amid the unsuccessful debut of the HTC One A9, the upcoming flagship seemingly followed its "design aesthetics," and resembled the iPhone's rounded corners. But HTC allegedly dropped some of its flagships' trademark design, Hindustan Times reported.

"If you like the A9, you'll love the M10," Evan Blass posted on Twitter, as shared by N4BB.

Per the latest HTC One M10 leak, HTC branding on the front along with the Boom Sound speakers have been removed.

The absence of the HTC logo, however, gave the device a cleaner look and a better proportion of screen to body ratio, according to AndroidPIT.

With HTC One A9's unimpressive upgrades, HTC One M10 is anticipated to be a major overhaul of the One series.

Specs-wise, the device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 along with a whopping 4GB of RAM. The internal storage, on the other hand, will have two options of 32GB and 64GB.

In addition, it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top of it.

Gadget leakster Evan Blass also shared on Twitter that HTC One M10 will employ HTC's ultrapixel camera. Its rear-facing camera will sport a 12-UltraPixel resolution. Its laser-assisted autofocus lenses are said to offer optical image stabilization, Hindustan Times added.

HTC already confirmed that the HTC One M10 won't be introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2016. The company instead has confirmed that it will be hosting a standalone event where it will unveil its flagship.

Reportedly, HTC is aiming for a Spring 2016 release.
