'Noragami Aragoto' Characters: What Is The Real Story Behind The Father?

One of the most interesting characters in the "Noragami Aragoto" is The Father. His aura of mystery has made him one of the most idolized character in both the anime and manga version of the series.

According to International Business Times, The Father's real name is Kouto Fujisaki. The Father looks like a typical man devoid of any magical powers. However, hidden deep inside him is a sadistic hate towards human beings and even Gods.

According to Kotaku, much of the first season of "Noragami Aragoto" was spent focusing on Bishamon who was portrayed as the main antagonist. However, some fans believe that The Father may have direct connection with Bishamon, although this theory was not completely explained in the series.

While The Father appears to be polite in front of his friends and strangers, he can turn into a complete vessel of destruction in the blink of an eye.

His sociopathic tendencies were highlighted on two occasions.

One was when he used his brush to control an old woman to jump off a window. Another was to control a man into jumping in front of a car. On both instances, The Father showed no signs of remorse and even appear to be smiling showing how he enjoys his works.

While The Father can be sadistic towards ordinary human beings, his hatred towards the Gods is unrivaled. For The Father, the Gods are his playthings.

His hatred towards the Gods is exemplified by his treatment towards the character of Yato, who he physically and psychologically tortured. In one of the most shocking revelation of the "Noragami Aragoto" second season, The Father admitted that he is responsible for Ebisu's death, the betrayal of Kugaha and the transformation of Tsuguha to become Karma Ayakashi.

While the official release of "Noragami Aragoto" season 3 is still unconfirmed, there is no doubt that many more speculations on the already mysterious character of The Father will come out.
