Taco Bell Super Bowl 50 Ad Features Guns N' Roses Song As Band Prepares For Reunion
Taco Bell sure knows how generate buzz as they employed the recently concluded Super Bowl event, the biggest annual gig in the United States, to release a new advertisement. The said commercial even used the song "Welcome to the Jungle" by the Guns N' Roses, which is currently gearing for a reunion tour.
The song, which is part of the 1987 Guns N' Roses album "Appetite for Destruction," is now an anthem to highlight different types of appetite. It also ushered Taco Bell's newest offering, which is the Quesalupa, according to Ultimate Classic Rock
Per the Loud Wire, Guns N' Roses front man Axl Rose even hinted of the Taco Bell commercial in a post on his Twitter account on New Year's Day.
The vocalist tweeted, "The only thing I know 'confirmed is my LOVE of Taco Bell! Mmmmm... Taco Bell!! Happy New Years!!"
Axl Rose's tweet came at the time when the reunion of his band, Guns N' Roses, was just mere rumors.
The Taco Bell ad opened with a girl who looks to be very pleased with her Quesalupa. The ad featured some of the latest trends in the world of pop culture including the man buns, Tinder, Star Trek, aliens, hoverboards and even soccer. The latter was highlighted by one of the sport's most iconic player, Neymar Jr.
Meanwhile, Guns N' Roses is scheduled to hold a reunion tour which will reunite three of its members namely Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. The said reunion tour will kick off in California as the band is slated to headline the annual Coachella music and arts festival.
Prior to the Coachella gig, Guns N' Roses will also reportedly hold two mini-concerts in Las Vegas. Additionally, the band has also confirmed that they have included Mexico City to their list of tour venues.
