'Red Dead Redemption 2' is NOT coming to the Nintendo Switch

While a number of fans were happy to learn that "Red Dead Redemption" would finally be played on Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature, a recent report might just dampen their spirit.

According to Jeff Grubb of Venture Beat, there is a possibility that the process of acquiring the game for the Microsoft gaming console may not work for everyone.

"The process for getting 'Red Dead Redemption' on your Xbox One is a bit confusing for now, and I won't guarantee this will work for everyone even though it worked for me," he claimed.

While the game is still not showing up in the "My Games & Apps" option of Xbox One owners, the outlet shared some tips on how to make it run using the backwards compatibility feature. However, as it was noted, Grubb was quite unsure if this is applicable for all.

If an Xbox One owner has the digital version of "Red Dead Redemption," he or she can "boot up your Xbox One."

The first step to doing it is to go to the "Find A Friend" option in the "Friends" menu.

The second thing to do is to look for "RockoHoward," then view the profile after finding it.

The third step is to tab over to his following list and sort by "Games," not by "Friends & Games."

The fourth step is to find "Red Dead Redemption" from the list then click on "See in Store."

The fifth and last step in already the installation wherein the "Install" prompt will appear.

Meanwhile, the report pointed out that the inclusion of "Red Dead Redemption" in the Xbox One backwards compatibility's list of games was the company's way of saying that it listens to its players, knowing that it is something that they were yearning for in the past.

On the other hand, Express UK reported that in downloading the "Red Dead Redemption" game, Microsoft emphasized that users must abide to Xbox Live Code of Conduct which means that "no game should be played before it has been authorised."

The game being a big title for backwards compatibility, would it make Xbox One top of the race with Sony PlayStation?
