The "Gravity Falls" finale is something that its fans must have been looking forward to, but would it be worth the wait? Would its ending satisfy its followers?

According to International Business Times, the "Gravity Falls" season 2 episode 20, or "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls," would see the defeat of the well-loved characters, Mabel and Dipper.

"The action packed finale of Gravity Falls will find Dipper and Mabel trying to defeat Bill with the help of a few friends," the outlet theorized. "But with his powers growing stronger, Bill may finally rule the world and end Gravity Falls as we know."

However, despite an ending that may not be acceptable to some, there is one promise that will surely happen in the "Gravity Falls" finale.

Based on the blog post of show creator Alex Hirsch, the mystery that has been happening in the Disney XD series will finally find an answer as the characters' conclusion will be revealed.

"I wanted 'Gravity Falls' to have a mystery that had a real answer, an adventure that had a real climax, and an ending that had a real conclusion for the characters I care so much about," he stated.

Hirsch also noted how glad he was that the company allowed him to start and end the series according to how it wanted it to be.

In the meantime, as "Gravity Falls" faces its finale in season 2's episode 20, fans would already have the power to end the animated series according to their own preference, The Slanted revealed.

Through a game that is expected to come out by mid-February on Watch Disney XD, those who may not be happy with "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" would have the chance to make a different ending happen since "the new interactive game 'Gravity Falls: Take Back The Falls' allowing players to help Dipper and Mabel save the world."

The "Gravity Falls" finale is set to land on TV via a 68-hour marathon from Feb. 12 to 15.
