‘Resident Evil 7’ To Make A Huge Debut At E3 2016? Release Date Likely To Be Announced?

Latest rumors claim that "Resident Evil 7" will make an unanticipated appearance at the E3 2016 conference where the game developer will reportedly finally unveil its release date.

Capcom recently released "Resident Evil Zero HD" last month and is currently developing "Resident Evil 2" Remake version. But the announced "Resident Evil 7" is still seemingly out of the picture.

Per the rumor mill, Capcom is aiming for a huge announcement at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition 2016 trade show.

"Resident Evil 7" release date and gameplay are likely to be showcased at the said event, Bitbag reported.

After the game's announcement last year, the developer was mum about its progress.

However, game producer Masachika Kawata said in an interview with Japanese magazine "Dengeki Playstation," as shared by Siliconera, that fans should watch out for updates.

"We're currently not at a state to talk about it... but please stay tuned," Kawata said.

During the interview, he also addressed players' criticisms of "Resident Evil 6's" gameplay which they claim is "heavy on gunplay but lacking in atmosphere and tension of previous iterations," according to Vine Report.

"Since there's been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way. And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it," the game producer added.

Although "Resident Evil 7" gameplay is yet to be announced, a leaked image suggested that the zombie shooter game will go back to its roots.

According to DailySunKnoxville the alleged footage revealed that the next installment will deliver players' request of a rich horror type of gameplay.

With that said, the game returns to Racoon City from the first trilogy.

It also noted that the tight schedule of the game developer hinders the announcement of the projected release date and other details of the "Resident Evil 7."
