Is "Once Upon a Time" season 5B using "Hercules" as reference? That seems to be the case as "Ally McBeal" alumni Greg Germann, who plays Hades, was seen sporting a flaming blue hair.

Entertainment Weekly revealed the actor sporting his character's hairdo in an exclusive post.

In the previous episodes, Hook made a sacrifice to save the residents of Storybrooke. Germann's entry in the series comes at a time when the characters go to the underworld to rescue Hook.

"Hades is such a fun, endlessly creative challenge," Germann told Entertainment Weekly. "Anything goes."

"The creators bring him to life on the page with the same out-of-the-box unpredictability that they bring to the rest of the show. They strike the perfect balance between keeping things grounded and letting things fly - sometimes literally."

But not everyone is crazy about the latest spoilers on Germann's character's look in "Once Upon a Time" season 5B.

"It looks like Greg Germann accidentally stepped in front of a bright blue light bulb," Gizmodo said.

The news site added that it would be a challenge for Greg Germann to reinterpret James Woods' version of the animated character, as the latter was cast in the hit 90's animated film "Hercules."

Per Gizmondo, Woods' Hades was someone who was "damn near perfect."

According to spoilers from Comic Book, the upcoming episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 5B could lead to the return of other members who had already made their way to the underworld "including Cora, Cruelle de Vil, and Peter Pan, played by Robbie Kay fresh off his run of Heroes Reborn."

"Once Upon a Time" returns this March after a midseason finale last year left viewers hanging on to the fate of Hook. Per earlier spoilers, a dark version of Storybrooke awaits fans in the upcoming episode.
