Ready For Marriage? Vanessa Hudgens Supported By Boyfriend Austin Butler Through Thick And Thin
Vanessa Hudgens' boyfriend Austin Butler comforted his grieving girlfriend by praising her performance during Fox' "Grease: Live" just a day after her father died.
Right in front of the long line of supporters was Vanessa Hudgen's boyfriend, Austin Butler, who was in the audience to watch his girl.
"#GreaseLive is MIND-BLOWING! Constant chills@VanessaHudgens," the "Carrie Diaries" star tweeted excitedly as he watched his girlfriend singing and dancing on stage, probably wanting to support and cheer her up as well.
"WOW @VanessaHudgens singing 'Worst Things' had me in tears. Just brilliant #GreaseLive," he followed up.
"I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer," the actress announced on Twitter just hours before she was supposed to go on stage for the musical. "Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers."
"In loving memory of Greg Hudgens. June 22, 1950 - January 30, 2016," the tribute toward the end of the show read.
Despite the tragedy, the 27-year-old actress blew everyone away with her portrayal of Betty Rizzo. Dedicating her performance to her recently departed parent, she was praised by critiques and viewers.
Austin Butler's support for his girlfriend didn't stop at a Twitter mention. He was later spotted joining her during a yoga class, probably to help her clear her mind from the tragedy.
With her father gone, it seems that Butler is stepping up to become her rock in both her personal life and career.
He previously told ET that he thinks it's "important to put that other person first."
"If you're constantly looking for ways that you can make them happy, and they're constantly looking for ways that they can make you happy, then you kind of life each other up as much as possible and you can't go wrong," he continued.
