‘H1Z1’ Hits Market This Month In Two Versions; PS4 And Xbox One Slated For Summer Release
Daybreak announced that "H1Z1" will arrive on PC this month, while PS4 and Xbox One versions will get a summer release.
After its early access on Steam last month, "H1Z1" will be officially released to PC players. However, the game will be divided into two versions that will be sold separately, along with a full title on Xbox One and PS4, Venture Beat reported.
"We're working on our plans for bringing Just Survive out of Early Access and to console, but no details on timing or additional info at this time," according to a Daybreak rep, cited by Gamespot.
With that said, the first part "H1Z1: King of the Kil" described as "large-scale, high-intensity multiplayer shooter comprised of a variety of new fight-to-the-death game modes," will be released on Steam Early Access program for $19.99 beginning Feb. 17, according to PS LifeStyle.
On the other hand, "H1Z1: Just Survive" will be accessible on Feb. 19. Players who already own the previous "H1Z1" will have their items replicated including their keys and crates.
"In 'H1Z1: Just Survive,' the zombie virus has crippled civilization. Corrupted by the need to survive, gone are the comforts of society as a new normal permeates the world. You are one of the last remaining humans," according to Daybreak, as shared by PS LifeStyle.

Daybreak chief publishing officer Laura Naviaux explained to Gamespot that they've decided to split the game from their observations that players typically play in Battle Royale and open-world setting
"They have completely different communities that have different needs, desires, and wants, and we really want to be able to cater and grow the games to be able to nurture both of those players bases distinctly," she said.
"After a lot of thought, we came to the conclusion that we should really split these games into two different products and the player community had actually asked us to do that."
According to the game developer, there are no plans of making "H1Z1" a free-to-play game with optional in-game transactions ahead of its release on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
