'Now You See Me 2' Cast To Include Pop Star Jay Chou? Rumors And Details Released!
A new actor is reportedly joining Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco and Daniel Radcliffe, Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan and the rest of the cast of "Now You See Me 2: The Second Act"
According to a report by China Christian Daily, Taiwanese pop superstar, Jay Chou has been cast for an unknown role in the movie sequel.
Chou has been known for many years in Chinese Mandarin-speaking countries like China and Taiwan through his contemporary pop and R&B music. The singer-composer first became known after his debut album entitled, "Jay" dropped in 2000. He was 21 years old then.
However, his sophomore album entitled "Fantasy" was what really skyrocketed him into stardom, according to Buzzfeed.
In 2011, the singer composer's Hollywood movie career was launched as he starred in the remake of "The Green Hornet," which unfortunately became a flop.
Last year, Chou and his then-fiancé, model-actress Hannah Quinlivan, had a fairytale wedding at the 900-year-old Selby Abbey Cathedral in Great Britain and about 10 months ago, had their first baby.
Now that Jay Chou is joining "Now You See Me 2: The Second Act," which is considered one of the most popular thriller movies today, fans are hoping Jay Chou's Hollywood career will fare better this time.
Meanwhile, fans are restlessly anticipating a follow-up to "Now You See Me 2: The Second Act's" trailer, which was released about 2 months ago.
In an on-set interview, cast member Dave Franco shared what it felt like to go back and film the sequel with almost the same set of co-actors.
"It's very uncomfortable," Dave Franco joked. "Just a lot of man-love"
Meanwhile, Isla Fisher, who was one of the "Four Horsemen" in the movie is not going to be in "Second Act" due to her pregnancy. She is replaced instead by Lizzy Caplan ("Mean Girls").
No other new cast members have been reported to star in "Now You See Me 2" aside from Chou and confirmed actress, Caplan.
