'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoiler: Episode 14 Reveals Meemaw Visiting Sheldon; Hates Amy?
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 spoiler includes Sheldon and Amy facing yet another challenge in their relationship, which is pleasing Shelly's beloved grandmother.
For the past nine seasons of "The Big Bang Theory," Sheldon has been talking about his "meemaw," (his grandmother) whom he often described as the sweetest, nurturing person in his life, who makes him soup and rubbing vapo rub on his chest whenever he gets sick.
On episode 14, "meemaw" (played by June Squibb) finally makes an appearance and Amy witnesses just how much Sheldon loves her.
"Look at you, sitting on Sheldon's spot, I don't even get to sit there," Amy said to "meemaw," referencing Sheldon's chosen sitting arrangement on the living room couch.
"And you never will," Sheldon assured his girlfriend.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 14 also saw a gushing, giddy Sheldon, much like a kid on Christmas morning about to open his presents. Speaking of presents, his grandmother gave him a toy train (because "Shelly" is fascinated with trains).
While he is in another room, however, "meemaw" wasted no time and confronted Amy about her relationship with Sheldon.
"Let's get something straight. He may think that I came to bake him cookies but the real reason is to size you up," she said. "Sheldon's mother may be okay with you but I'm not so easy."
"I'm sure you'll like me once you get to know me?" said Amy.
"Well, you better hope so!" Sheldon's grandmother replied. Later on, she adds: "Here's some more honesty: I don't like you every much!"
Previously, fans of the award-winning comedy watched "TBBT's" season 8 finale with broken hearts as Amy and Sheldon split because of the latter's general dislike towards feelings and intimacy. It wasn't until the past few episodes of season 9 that the couple had decided they couldn't stay away from each other.
