‘Zola’ The Movie Confirmed! James Franco To Direct And Star On The Epic Twitter Live Story
James Franco is set to bring the controversial "Zola" live tweet story to a movie.
The multi-talented actor will be manning the director's chair for "Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind the Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted" film adaptation.
According to Variety, James Franco's publicist said on Thursday that he will team up with Andrew Neel and Killer Films production company for the "Zola" movie.
The author of the said live tweets also shared the news on Twitter.

The story will be based on David Kushner's Rolling Stone magazine article "Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind the Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted."
The film will be produced by Franco and Vince Jolivette, and the story will be written by Andrew Neel and Mike Roberts, Business Standard reported.
The epic "Zola" live tweet, which took the social media by storm in October, tells the story of Aziah "Zola" Wells' journey to Florida with a stripper and her boyfriend, and another man.

The 148-tweet tale went trending worldwide as Hollywood stars like Missy Elliot, Keke Palmer, Solange Knowles joined the "obsession" of "#thestory," Rolling Stone reported.
The controversial story unfolded the dark side of strippers and sex trafficking led to the arrest of "Nigerian pimp, 'Z.'" Akporode "Rudy" Uwedjojevwe was charged with sexual assault, sex trafficking, battery, attempted pandering and felony counts in Nevada.
In addition, as the story went viral, "there were Zola Halloween costumes, Zola feminist think pieces, Zola comics and parody movie trailers for a rumored Hollywood project: 'In a World Where Stripper Fingers Turn to Twitter Fingers,'" Rolling Stone added.
Updates of the “Zola” movie are expected to be unveiled soon after James Franco is off from filming “The Disaster Artist” and “The Room,” according to Empire Online.
