UFC 186: Aubin-Mercier v Michaud

Fight fans and mixed martial arts aficionados are all on the edge of their seats as more news erupt about Georges St-Pierre's return to the octagon in UFC this 2016.

It was recently reported that the acclaimed fighter will be revealing his intention to return to UFC soon via a tweet posted by FM93 Quebec.

The source went on to translate the tweet, which was posted in Jan. 29, 2016 and written in French, and stated that Dan Pou (who is a known sports journalist) has recently found out that George St-Pierre will be announcing his return to the competitive scene of UFC in the coming days.

Meanwhile, there have been recent reports from MMA Mania that indicate GSP's status with regard to his return to the eight-sided ring, wherein one of his closest friends and trainers, Firas Zahabi, stated that the renowned fighters return is closer to happening that what UFC President Dana White claims it to be.

"The six-week camp is just to see what his body feels like," Zahabi said in an interview with ESPN.Go. "UFC President Dana White has said people don't do things like that and it's bulls***, but Georges does that. He will go through the pain of a six-week camp just to see where his body is."

However, Dana White is of the opinion that George St-Pierre wouldn't have to go through testing waters if the fighter really desired to return to UFC this 2016, MMA Weekly reported.

"I highly doubt it's going to happen because GSP's been off for too long and has a ton of money," the UFC President explained. "You don't do a six-week camp to learn if you have the hunger. You either know it or not. Robbie Lawler knows it, he's hungry, he trains like an animal."
