Aamir Khan Wants A '3 Idiots' Movie Sequel! Release Date Still In The Works

Aamir Khan recently expressed interest in reprising his role for a "3 Idiots" movie sequel.

The Bollywood actor also discussed some details of the film during the screening event of "Saala Khadoos."

"Raju Hirani has given me a hint about '3 Idiots' sequel and I am giving you all a hint," he revealed to The Indian Express. "The film will happen if and whenever he will write the script. Let's keep our fingers crossed."

The Bollywood superstar revealed that the script for the upcoming sequel movie is currently being written by the director of the series, Raju Hirani. Khan also commented that he is looking forward to the completion of the screenplay so that he can start working on it and once again inspire the younger generation viewers.

The "3 Idiots" sequel is speculated to be a sports-themed movie.

After Khan's revelation, director Hirani has reportedly revealed that the script for the "3 Idiots" movie sequel will most likely be ready in a few months' time.

With all the talks of the sequel, Hindustan Times reported that the release date for the new movie is yet to be scheduled.

However, Aamir Khan hinted the possibility that the shooting for the movie is slated to start this year.

"I will have to lose 25 kilos to play the younger version of my character," Khan said, during an interview with Press Trust of India. "We will begin shooting for that portion in June and I have already started working out on that."

While the release date of the upcoming sequel is yet to be decided, spoilers for the movie have started surfacing related to the cast and plot of the flick.

Movie News Guide reported that Boman Irani is speculated to reprise his role as the main villain, Viru Sahastrabuddhe. It is also rumored that Aamir Khan be joined by his pals, Raju portrayed by Sharman Joshi and Farhan played by R. Madhavan.

Meanwhile, Khan is still busy filming his upcoming movie "Dangal," which is based on the life story of a wrestler, who coached his daughters to excel in the profession.
