George Clooney Talks To Wife On Facetime Amidst Divorce Rumors; Amal Alamuddin Too Busy With High-Profile Cases?
There is no denying that George Clooney's wife Amal Alamuddin is one of the most popular internatonal human rights lawyers to date.
Over the last few months, Amal Alamuddin has made headlines over former Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed, who was ousted in 2012 and sent to jail.
"The British human-rights lawyer, now more widely known as the Beirut-born beauty who married mega-movie star and elusive-bachelor-no-more George Clooney, sat down for her first American TV network interview with Cynthia McFadden of NBC News," USA Today earlier reported in mid-January.
"That was followed by more of the interview on Today on Friday morning. She'll also talk with NBC's Chuck Todd on the venerable Sunday news show, Meet the Press," the report continued. "In recent months, she also has done interviews with the BBC and with CNN's Christiane Amanpour about the Maldives."
With high profile cases left and right and a Hollywood actor husband on her side, the barrister is earning attention not just in the international political scene, but also in the entertainment arena.
But is Amal Alamuddin's job taking its toll on her relationship with George Clooney? Does the Hollywood A-lister feel that his wife is not spending as much time with him as he would want her to?
The actor admitted in a recent interview that though their schedules may be hectic and there are days when they can't be together, he and his wife take advantage of technology to keep the fire burning.
"FaceTime, we'll do that, mostly it's just try not to go very long.... We spend an awful lot of time together. We try not to have these huge gaps," George Clooney told Extra's Mario Lopez, as quoted by Us Weekly.
Clooney previously talked about his wife's job in a previous interview with "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" last year.
"What is it like to be the arm candy in a relationship?" Colbert asked, as quoted by Today. "She must say, like, 'We're going to meet extremely intelligent people tonight - these are not show folk. Just be shiny and pretty.'"
"Shiny and pretty - that's mostly what I do,'' Clooney jokingly said. "They said it wouldn't last. It's going really well.
Amal Alamuddin has been George Clooney's wife since September 2014.
