'Pokemon Go' News: Nintendo's First Mobile Game Ready To Hit Android And iOS Devices This March
"Pokemon Go" latest news reveal that the AR game is ready to hit Android and iOS devices in March at the CDC Game Developer Conference.
Reportedly, this is not the official release of "Pokemon Go" but attendees will get a first-hand experience on the game.
They will also get to try "collaborative approach to design and development for the game and the next evolution of augmented reality and real-world mobile gameplay experiences," the GDC website stated according to Express UK.
"Pokemon Go" was announced last year as Nintendo's first mobile game that will be made available for Android and iOS devices.
Gotta Be Mobile previously reported that the game will be accompanied by an accessory worn on the wrist called "Pokemon Go Plus." This is a device that can be used to control the game via Bluetooth connection by using simple gestures.
Niantic head John Hanke also shared some news about the gameplay of the upcoming "Pokemon Go."
He explained that the game is set in the real world wherein players can capture "Pokemons" in certain places, train, and battle against other players.
"If we're going to build a game that works with location, it has to be fun for people anywhere to play, in small towns as well as San Francisco," Chief Executive John Hanke per Venture Beat.
"Our goal is to make it so you can walk out of the house and within five minutes, you can find a Pokémon. Besides wild Pokémon, there'll be Gyms to battle at, just like in the main games on Nintendo 3DS."
Nintendo is expected to announce the official release date of "Pokemon Go" at GDC in March, as well as other news related to the game, iDigital Times reported.
Parent Herald added that another "Pokemon" installment will be released this year. However, the game developers are still mum about its progress as the game is still on its development stage.
