'Sons of Anarchy' Prequel Movie And Spinoff Show In The Making; Brad Pitt To Replace Charlie Hunnam Instead Of Supporting Him?
"Sons Of Anarchy" is not yet over as the spin off and prequel get the green light from the show's creators and producers. Will Charlie Hunnam reprise his role in the series?
According to new reports, Hunnam may not be reprising his role in the upcoming spin off and prequel as the story will be going back to the history of "Sons Of Anarchy."
Uproxx has recently reported that Kurt Sutter is ready to do the spin off and has been planning the upcoming prequel after it.
"Landgraf said Sutter is working on an idea for a new show for FX, and he's starting to re-engage with the Sons of Anarchy spinoff that has been gestating for a while," Uproxx reported. "Sutter is not expected to write or serve as showrunner on the spinoff, which would focus on the Mayans motorcycle crew and would be set in the Northern California motorcycle club scene."
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt has been eyed by the show's creator to play the father of Charlie Hunnam's character. Sutter is reportedly interested in casting Pitt as John Teller. But the "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" actor is yet to confirm the rumors.
Crossmap reported that Jax Teller's father will be leading the SAMCRO.
"The First 9 were the founding members of SAMCRO. The remaining living founding members wear a patch on their cut that says 'First 9'. John Teller was the founder and President of SAMCRO," Crossmap quoted in a post. "Went head on with a semi truck and still survived two days later until he died. First husband of Gemma Teller Morrow and father of Jackson Teller, Thomas Teller, and Trinity Ashby."
Sutter has been thinking about creating a prequel as well. "At some point I do have plans to hopefully do the prequel, which I do see as a one-off 10- or 12-episode thing where we begin in Nam and see John Teller and Piney," Sutter said, Crossmap quoted.
Inquisitr has reported that the prequel movie will be led by the "World War Z" actor.
"He's trying to do a prequel, which I would love to see. Kurt is trying to get it going. Did you read that about Brad Pitt maybe playing my dad? Brad Pitt as John Teller," Hunnam said during an interview with Men's Journal. "How awesome would that be?"
Rumors have been ciculating that Hunnam was disappointed about Sutter's decision to not include his character in the spin off.
"I love that guy, but it was hard for us to work together sometimes because we're both crazy f***s." Hunnam added, Inquisitr reported. "Kurt and I never blasted each other in the face, but I'll say it got close. There has been security rushing onto set and pulling us apart before."
Inquisitr recently revealed that Opie will be back in the prequel, making fans wonder about the plot.
"Sons of Anarchy prequel movie, staring Charlie Hunnam and Brad Pitt, AND THEY'RE BRINGING OPIE BACK!! When can I buy my tickets?" Becca Miller, a Twitter user and "Sons Of Anarchy" fan posted.
