Demi Lovato was bashed on Instagram by people who are questioning her friendship with Nick Jonas. According to a report from J-14, the "Confident" singer was also mocked for how she has supposedly been unsuccessful in her musical career.

An unnamed hater wrote a message for the singer to somewhat accuse her of using Nick Jonas for publicity. The "Jealous" crooner has been in the news lately for his rumored romance with actress Kate Hudson, and is also the brother of Demi's ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas.

"Nick Jonas inspires you to be a better artist?? Nick Jonas??" the basher scoffed.

"Maybe if your manager focused on promoting you, stopped making you say sh*t like this, and [stopped] shoving your fake a** friendship down our throats, then you'd still be on the charts.

However, Demi Lovato retaliated in an Instagram comment.

"You know nothing," she shot back. "I may not be highest on the charts, but I'm still on them."

Last year, Demi Lovato decided to take on a bolder and sexier image with the release of her album "Confident."

However, the pop singer previously shared an Instagram post about having an "extremely rough" 2015, but did not specify if it referred to her career.

"As incredible as this year was, this year was also extremely rough," she said. "Filled with some of the highest highs, I experienced some of the lowest lows."

"I said hello to a lot of amazing experiences and said goodbye to many that I love but everything happens for a reason and my skin got a lot thicker this year," she added.

Aside from going on a different route with her music, Demi Lovato also made news last year for being more open about her struggles with alcohol and drugs.

Access Hollywood reported about her ordeals, which she said began at the height of her career as a teenage Disney star.

"I couldn't go 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes," she narrated. "I think at 19 years old, I had a moment where I was like, 'Oh my God...that is alcoholic behavior.'"

Since then, Demi Lovato's instagram account has been visited by spectators for any developments on her response with her bashers.
