‘Gravity Falls’ Finale To See Bill’s Triumph Despite Mabel And Dipper’s Courage To Defeat Him?

Recent rumors about the finale of "Gravity Falls" claimed that fans may see Bill finally taking over the world amid the struggle of Mabel and Dipper to defeat him.

According to International Business Times, the airing of "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" will have fans witness "Dipper and Mabel trying to defeat Bill with the help of a few friends."

The outlet even pointed out that "with his powers growing stronger, Bill may finally rule the world and end Gravity Falls as we know."

Based on the synopsis of the show's final showdown on Feb. 15 on Disney XD, "Ford discovers Bill's true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines family's ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice," which is bound to happen in the "Gravity Falls" finale or "Weirdmageddon 3."

It can be recalled that in "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality," Mabel was trapped in a "strange new world." But luckily, she was saved by Dipper, Soos and Wendy.

Moreover, the pre-finale episode featured the lead characters discovering their great uncle Grunkle Stan and a number of other townspeople "alive and holed up in the Mystery Shack."

On the other hand, Movie Pilot reported that Stan will be the "Ultimate Sacrifice" in the "Gravity Falls" finale, which is also the episode 20 of season 2. 

Accordingly, this can be attributed to several reasons.

"He's going to sacrifice himself for the kids, for his brother, for Gravity Falls because over the course of the show, he has been developing into a character who would be more willing to do that, and who would be missed the most," the report noted.

Furthermore, Movie Pilot stated that this speculation is most likely to happen especially that he has evolved into "a con man who has proven he'd rather risk his own life and even go to jail if it means helping his family."
