Super Bowl 2016: Peyton Manning Sick Of Losing, Says Experience Would Help

Peyton Manning and Denver Broncos are heading to Super Bowl 2016

Super Bowl 2016, the 50th edition of the world's biggest American football stage, will feature a player very familiar to this level.

Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos will make his trip back to the grand stage of NFL and this time, he does not want any more heartaches.

This would be the fourth appearance for Manning, 39, to the Big Dance. He has an extensive experience in the arena, but it's safe to say that he is one of only few players who can claim to have suffered the greatest heartbreaks after coming up short.

And those losses won't give him any edge come Super Bowl 2016 against Carolina Panthers this month.

"I can't say there are a lot of positives in going through a Super Bowl loss,'' the former Super Bowl XLI MVP told ESPN.

"It's not a fun experience. Does it fuel you? Yeah. I think it depends on who you are and kind of what drives you. But when you play in the NFL, it's driven me every year to try to be a better player than I was the year before and to try and do my best for the team. That's kind of the case this year.

The 1998 no. 1 overall draft also cherishes the opportunity to be at Super Bowl 2016 but insists he is not there to lose again.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be going back to a Super Bowl, and I can certainly attest that winning is a lot better than losing," he said.

Denver Broncos last played in Super Bowl in 2013 and lost to Seattle Seahawks.

Reports have it that Peyton Manning will retire after this season after NFL microphones caught him telling New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick that "this might be my last rodeo."

However, when asked to confirm such talks, he remained coy.

"I don't know what happened to private conversations at the 50-yard line," Manning said as per USA Today Sports. "Those don't exist anymore. No confirmation on that whatsoever. We are on to Carolina."

Whether or not this would be his final year, Peyton Manning is seeking vindication at Super Bowl 2016, which will kick off on Feb. 7 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
