Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been the subject of several NBA Trade rumors now that the superstar will join the free agency in the summer of 2016.

Durant is currently weighing all his possible options but several reports point to the New York Knicks being one of the most viable options for the high-scoring forward.

According to News Day, the Knicks organization is preparing their bid to acquire the services of Durant and some experts believe that the organization has a hundred-to-one chance of landing a deal with former MVP. However, the Knicks' franchise player Carmelo Anthony and head coach Derek Fisher may play a major role in convincing Durant to join the organization.

There's also Kristaps Porzingis, the promising rookie of the Knicks, who might help sway Durant.

Durant was all praises for the no. 4th pick of the NBA 2015 draft as he called the 7-foot-3 rookie a "basketball unicorn," a compliment attributed to the rookie's multifaceted basketball skills.

In an interview with the New York Post, Durant said, "I spent some nice time up here playing basketball in New York City. Some of the most memorable times in my life was coming up here, playing outside, just getting the pure love of the game up here. I remember that, always going to remember that the rest of my life and tell my kids about that when I get older."

Durant's hometown team, Washington Wizards, are also gearing towards acquiring him and the latest NBA rumors also speculated on a possible deal between the Oklahoma Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers now that franchise player Kobe Bryant is playing his last season.

According to ESPN, should Durant stay with the Thunders, the organization can offer a five-year contract for $25 million with annual raises marked at 7.5 percent. On the other hand, other teams can offer Durant $25 million for a four-year contract with annual salary increase of up to 4.5 percent.

What's clear, however, is Kevin Durant's name will continue to be dragged into NBA trade rumors particularly with the trade deadline drawing near.
