Pia Wurtzbach's Miss Universe 2015 Pick Is Miss USA Olivia Jordan? Filipina Beauty Admits She's Biased
If she had her choice, Pia Wurtzbach would pick Miss USA Olivia Jordan to be the Miss Universe 2015.
But then again, the Filipina beauty's friendship with the aspiring American actress clouded her judgment.
Miss Universe 2015 winner Pia Wurtzbarh had a homecoming recently, and was interviewed on a local TV show where she was asked to name another contestant to be the winner if given a chance to sit on the judges' panel.
Without hesitation, she picked Jordan, who was named the second runner-up.
"I'm biased. I really like miss USA... She was very warm and very genuine," Wurtzbach told the television host, as shared by Inquirer.
"Like me she also joined a few times. It was a long journey from her as well getting there," she said.
According to Pia Wurtzbach, there was little chance to befriend each candidate at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant due to language barrier and schedule constraints.
"I think it's only natural to talk to candidates you are comfortable with," Wurtzbach said in the interview.
Pia Wurtzbach also said that one day, she hopes to bring Olivia Jordan back to the Philippines to witness the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, the stepping stone for Filipina beauties wanting to represent the country for the Miss Universe.
"The first person that I thought of bringing with me here was Olivia Jordan, who is my housemate. I was telling her before I flew to the Philippines, 'I wish next time I go back, I wish you'd come with me, maybe for the coronation of the Bb. Pilipinas,'" Wurtzbach told the press interview.
For her part, Olivia Jordan shared an Instagram photo of roommate Pia Wurtzbach after she won the Miss Universe 2015 crown.
