'Daredevil' Season 2 News: Villain Bullseye To Appear In Follow-Up? Charlie Cox Teases 'Really Good Fights'
Marvel has finally announced a release date for "Daredevil" season 2.
While fans are excited over the arrival of Frank Castle aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung), rumors are circulating that villain Bullseye might also appear in the follow-up season.
According to International Business Times, "Furious 7" star Jason Statham may join the Marvel series as the iconic villain. However, later reports suggested that the actor passed on the offer since his would be character may not be prioritized in the show, especially with two new characters making their debut in Season 2.
While Bullseye's debut remains unconfirmed, Marvel Television boss Jeph Loeb says Elektra's arrival will be more than enough to keep fans hooked to the show.
"You will fall in love with Elodie Yung as Elektra, and she will break your heart because that's what Elektra does to people," Loeb said in a statement published by Comic Book. "When you float Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch into that group, and Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Hensen as Karen and Foggy, it just an extraordinary cast. I just think people are going to be delighted by the story the writers came up with for this season."
Lead star Charlie Cox also offered details about what fans can expect in season 2.
"In terms of this season, there are a number of really good fights. There is one in particular that I'm really excited about because it's kind of like an homage to that scene, but it's almost like that scene on crack," Cox said in a statement published by Christian Post.
"Daredevil" season 2 will be available on Netflix on March 18, 2016.
