'Green Lantern' Movie: Actor Dan Amboyer To Play 'Pilot' In 'Batman V Superman'; Hal Jordan To Be Introduced In Film?
It is said that "Batman V Superman" will see the entire Justice League standing together, although the actor who will portray Green Lantern in the movie still remains unconfirmed.
Late last year, a Reddit leak revealing the details of "Batman V Superman" noted that an actor has already been cast to play Hal Jordan. Accoding to Heroic Hollywood, the source who reportedly attended a test screening of "Dawn of Justice" claims that actor Dan Amboyer will play the ring-wielding superhero.
Amboyer's name won't probably ring a bell, but the 30-year-old actor's lengthy resume shows that he's earned his fair share of success. The "Lily In The Grinder" star has sixteen screen roles under his belt, although most of them are small, one-off roles. His is best known for portraying Prince William in Hallmark's "William and Catherine: A Royale Romance."
Furthermore, Amboyer is officially listed in the cast of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" as a "Drone Pilot," rumored to be on Superman's side in the film. Naturally, this fueled rumors even more since Hal Jordan was an aircraft pilot before becoming the ring slinger.
In the comics, Jordan is a test pilot who was chosen by Green Lantern Corps member Abin Sur, whose ship crashed on Earth. Fatally injured, Abin Sur sought for an individual who was "utterly honest and born without fear." The ring ends up with Jordan, and along with it its powers.
Jordan isn't the only Green Lantern expected to show up in the DCEU. Science Fiction reports that DC has officially titled the upcoming Green Lantern movie "Green Lantern Corps," which means that it might feature other Green Lanterns such as John Stewart and Guy Gardner.
"Batman V Superman" releases on March 25, 2016. The "Green Lantern" movie arrives in 2020.
