As "Sherlock" season 4 arrives in 2017, several spoilers shared that a third Holmes is expected to join the entire cast.
Cross Map claimed that a certain line uttered by Mycroft in season 3 hinted that another member of the family exists, which allegedly will be played by Tom Hiddleston.
The outlet pointed out that "when Mycroft was discussing with some politicians about the punishment to be served for Sherlock" in the previous season, he mentioned something that should have caught the fans' attention.
"And do you remember his line when they doubted that Mycroft might be biased because Sherlock is his brother?" the site noted. "Mycroft said, 'You know what happened with the other one.'"
This, according to Cross Map's "Sherlock" season 4 spoilers, must have been ignored by some even if it was emphasized that it was "probably too cryptic, however it simply meant there's another one in the Holmes family, a brother or a sister of Sherlock and Mycroft."
