‘WWE 2K16’ Future Stars DLC Patch Fix Releasing Soon; To Resolve Deleted Saved Files Issues
2K Games confirmed that a patch fix will be released as soon as possible to resolve issues on "WWE 2K16" Future Stars dlc.
According to Attack of the Fanboy, community manager Bryan Vore posted a message relating to the issue on the game's official forums which could finally fix issues that players experienced on Universe mode.
"For those not aware, the WWE 2K16 Future Stars pack DLC has affected some users' Universe Mode save files. The development team has created a patch fix, and we are working with Sony and Microsoft to deliver the fix to players as quickly as possible," 2k wrote.
"We'll let you know as soon as we hear any updates on the timing of the release. Below are a few details about the upcoming fix," it added.
A day after the dlc, which brought new tag teams Los Matadores and Blake and Murphy with Samoa Joe,was released, players reported issues on Universe mode. According to one player, saved data was deleted after downloading Future Stars dlc.
Another player claimed that after closing and reopening the game, its calendar and rankings reset to where they were before, Gamespot reported.
Tech Times added that the problem also affects integrating user's tag team, show's modification and in-game storylines.
As "WWE 2K16" reported issues have been ramping up, 2K Games was quick to acknowledge them and advised players to refrain downloading the Future Stars dlc for the mean time until further fix has been dispatched.
"We're aware of an issue some users are experiencing with Universe Mode save data connected to the Future Stars Pack DLC," community manager Bryan Vore said, according to Game Radar.
"After initial investigation, we've found this issue only affects PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users will not experience this issue."
He added, "If you are an active Universe Mode player on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we recommend waiting to download the Future Stars Pack until we fully investigate and resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience."
Amidst the problems encountered by many players, the dlc is still available for purchase for the Xbox One and PS4, Game Radar reported.
