Following the death of Delphine, several "Orphan Black" season 4 spoilers claimed that it would be an opportunity for great things to happen to Cosima at the Dyad.

Movie Pilot revealed that with Delphine facing death after being shot, it "may well pave the way for Cosima to start making some big waves at Dyad, as well as getting to grips with this crazy science."

As stated by show creator John Fawcett, her death was necessary to develop the story of season 4 and 5 .

"[Delphine's death] was a necessary move to make," Fawcett said, as shared in the outlet's "Orphan Black" spoilers. "And it's necessary in Cosima's story and it's necessary going forward in subsequent seasons-in season 4 and season 5."

Meanwhile, when it comes to Delphine's position in the previous season, Graeme Manson disclosed that "a number of our characters are where they're torn between their heart and their allegiances. The heart hasn't changed for Delphine."

"The real question for us in the writers' room was, OK, Delphine made this promise," the writer and producer said. "She made this promise to Cosima that she would keep her sisters safe and love them all equally."

In the meantime, Christian Today pointed out in its "Orphan Black" season 4 spoilers that the next season will likewise tackle Sarah's condition who has been theorized to be in "grave danger." But as Mark partners with her, would they find a cure?

It can be recalled that it was nine months ago when it was confirmed that the fourth season will arrive in 2016, which was presumed to be in spring, according to Cinema Blend.

As speculated, the upcoming season will still comprise 10 episodes, which will surely be action-packed.

With the renewal of the series, it was noted that "BBC America seems to want to change my thought process, as they are apparently listening to all the Clone Club members out there who never want to see 'Orphan Black' come to an end."
