'Shokugeki No Soma' Season 2 Release Date Dependent On Successful DVD Sales?
The latest speculations of the anime series, "Shokugeki No Soma," tease the possibility that the release date for season 2 will be announced only after the successful DVD sales.
There are rumors that the season 2 release date will be announced after the successful sales of the special edition DVD's of the anime series based on the 18th volume of the manga version.
"If 'Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma' DVD sales for the manga adaptation are satisfactory, there might be another season of the series, and in that case, we are looking at summer of 2016," When-Will.net reported.
The statement also teased the possibility that the release date will mostly be slated in summer this year, as the special DVD's will be out on May 2, 2016.

Meanwhile, Reddit reported that the upcoming season 2 of the food-based anime series "Shokugeki No Soma" suggests that it will be based on the Stagiaire story arc.
It is also rumored that the new season will be centered on the rivalry between Yukihira and Akira.
The speculations also suggest that Yukihira will try to graduate with flying colors from the culinary school in the upcoming season 2 of the anime series so that he is able to join his father's restaurant.
