Wolverine To Appear In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'? Hugh Jackman Dishes Out On Film Developments

Many fans are excited to witness Hugh Jackman's next appearance as Wolverine; and until now, it is yet to be clarified if fans should expect to see him in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Four months before its release, Wolverine's appearance in "X-Men: Apocalypse" is still yet to be confirmed and is still considered as a rumor.

Even Hugh Jackman didn't confirm nor deny such speculations. One thing he clarified though is that the ball is rolling for "Wolverine 3."

"We have a script. A full script," Hugh Jackman revealed to Collider. "To tell you, two days ago I got that the full finished-well, it's not finished, but we're getting super close-as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps...yeah, it's sooner rather than later."

With his facial hair in place, will Hugh Jackman start filming for "Wolverine 3" anytime soon, say, in a few weeks?

"I don't have a firm date yet," the Australian actor said. "My thing and I've told you and I've told everyone, it's my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it's perfect, bang, we'll go."

If Hugh Jackman will appear as Wolverine in "X-Men: Apocalypse," then the actor would make a record of playing the same character in nine movies.

"I don't really count the numbers but I certainly am amazed at 17 years of playing this character, which I love, obviously," Jackman said, as quoted by Yahoo.

"And it's been the backbone of my career, and I am ridiculously grateful to the fans and I am really taking this last one so seriously. I've never worked as hard on one as this, and I really leave it on a high," the actor added. "Not just for me, but for all the fans. It's kind of amazing, no one really saw all this coming."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters in May, while "Wolverine 3" is set to be released in March 2017.
