'Power Rangers' News, Spoilers, Release Date: Lionsgate Prioritizes Movie Over 'Divergent'; Cast Finalized, Red Ranger Gets Charged With Murder?

A lot of people grew up watching "Power Rangers" on the small screens and some of the shows today have looked up to the creators of the said franchise.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" will be a remake of the populat television series for children back in 1993 to 1995. The movie's cast has been finalized which will be including Naomi Scott to play Kimberly Hart as Pink Ranger, Red Ranger played by Dacre Montgomery, Black Ranger played by Ludi Lin, Blue Ranger played by RJ Cycler and Yellow Ranger will be played by Becky G. 

According to new reports, the cast of the most awaited film "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" have already been finalized and the filming will begin shooting early this year. 

It has recently been reported that Lionsgate has rescheduled the release date of the movie to March 24,2017. Business Standard revealed that the company has moved the date to avoid huge movie competitors such as "The Dark Tower," "Friday The 13th," "Geostorm," and "Monster Trucks." 

"In terms of long term goals, the success of the first Power Rangers movie is significantly more important to Lionsgate than the success of the final Divergent movie," Forbes wrote in a post.

The Wrap reported that the final release date of the "Power Rangers" film was supposedly the release date of "Divergent."

According to Lawyer Herald, Dean Israelite the director of the upcoming remake called the movie, "a really cool, contemporary, mature but still playful, buoyant and fun take on the material." 

The "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie will be directed by Dean Israelite and will be produced by Brian Casentini, Allison Shearmur, Haim Saban and Wyck Godfrey. The scripts will be written by Ashley Miller and Zach Stentz. The movie will be released on March 24,2017.
