'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Spoilers: Luke Cage No Longer A Part Of The Series?

"Jessica Jones" season 2 has just been confirmed this month and fans are now eager to know more about where things would go between our female lead and Luke Cage.

Cage, played by Mike Colter, was certainly not pleased with what his lady love has done. With that in mind, many are interested to know whether the character will still be part of the show especially since he is set to star in his own series.

Colter revealed some interesting spoilers saying that it will feel like he is very far away, as far as his relationship with Jessica Jones is concerned.

"I really can't get into too many details, but Luke Cage is completely different," he said in a Collider interview.

"He goes off Uptown and does his own thing. The time lapse is not that long, so it's not like Jessica Jones never happened. You will see some of that."

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones have clicked at the start of the series' first season. But things went bad when he learned that his wife was killed by the woman he is dating. Everything changed between the two and there even came a point where he resolved to forget Jones for good.

The actor also said that the reunion between the literal "power couple" is one of the more interesting subplots of "Jessica Jones" season 2.

"There are questions, but you'll have to wait and see what happens when Jessica and Luke meet again," he said.

"That's not something you move past easily. It will be interesting to see how they get their relationship on the mend, or if it will mend and when. I'm as curious as you are."

Aside from "Jessica Jones" season 2, fans can also expect "Luke Cage" TV series this year. According to Holter, production for the new show is almost finished.

"Jessica Jones" stars Krysten Ritter playing the titular role, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker and Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth. Netflix is yet to reveal the release date of season 2.
