Kit Harington Got Scared Of Fans’ Reaction With ‘Game Of Thrones’ Death? Still Denying Jon Snow's Return
Kit Harington was pointedly radio silent after Jon Snow was killed during last season's "Game Of Thrones."
Was he too scared of fans reactions to the scene after the finale was aired?
The curly-haired heartthrob recently talked to "BBC Breakfast" about his famous role and that character's infamous death in the HBO show.
"I was hoping that there would be an outcry of 'why?' and 'oh god, no, no' rather than 'thank god'," he said, as reported by Digital Spy. "That was the right reaction as far as I was concerned!"
"I've just hit the ground, and gone undercover. I've tried to do absolutely no press for anything," he revealed.
But he admitted that he was in awe with how much love fans are giving his character.
"It's brilliant, the fact that people care about this TV show and what happens to the people they love or hate in it, is a special thing," he shared. "I've got nothing to complain about, put it that way. If they care about it and I get asked about it a lot, it means that people hold it dear to their hearts and it's doing what it meant to. "
Kit Harington's Jon Snow dying in "Game Of Thrones" did receive several cries of outrage as soon as it aired and he most likely would have been bombarded by questions about it.
So how did he escape the barrage of questions and violent reactions? Apparently, he hid himself.
Despite the release of the trailer that heavily featured footage of the supposedly dead Lord Commander, Kit Harington is still adamant that Jon Snow is indeed dead in "Game Of Thrones."
"People didn't want me to die, but he's dead," he said, as reported by Digital Spy. "So there you go, everyone has to get used to it."
Nevertheless, the actor maintains that the show is still amazing and he would definitely still watch it.
Harington isn't the only one who's insisting on the beloved character's death.
Maisie Williams, who plays his on-screen half-sister Arya Stark, noted the same sentiment but admitted that there will be a "great twist" in "Game Of Thrones" season 6.
