'Detective Conan' Movie 20 To Focus On Black Organization, A New Member Rum? Fans Await Release In April
Fans are excited over the upcoming release of "Detective Conan" movie 20. A few months ahead of its premiere, numerous speculations are circulating about the anime movie's plot and story.
There are theories that "Detective Conan" movie 20 will focus on Conan's rivals, which is the Black Organization.
"The probability is high that the focus in the new movie will be on the Black Organization, which has held an important role thus far in Detective Conan," Tokyo Otaku Mode wrote. "The illustration released this time has been dubbed the 'black visual.'"
According to the report, the visual promotion of "Detective Conan" movie 20 released late last year featured the full lineup of Black Organization, suggesting that the film will focus on them. Aside from the known members, there is purportedly a relatively unfamiliar name on the list.
"The front shows Conan with a defiant expression. To the side are the codenames of members of the Black Organization: Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, Chianti, Korn, Kir, and Bourbon," the report continued. "At the bottom is the name Rum, who isn't talked about much in the original story."
"And what could the catchphrase 'the sanctuary door opens' mean? It seems we are in store for new developments. The back of the poster features a grouping of seven Black Organization members. Gin's bold smile foreshadows a turbulent story," the article added.
According to a report, even the number of copies of the visual that were distributed in Japanese cinemas has a special meaning related to the theme of the movie.
"96960 (the number 96 can be pronounced as "kuro" or "black" in Japanese) copies of the visual will be distributed across theaters in Japan as a poster," Anime News Network wrote back in November. "The leftmost text on the visual reads, 'The door to the hallowed ground will open.'"
The upcoming film is expected to rake in earnings as the 19th movie of the franchise, "Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno," reportedly earned a gross box office income of over $36 Million in Japan according to Box Office Mojo.
"Detective Conan" movie 20 is reportedly scheduled to be released on April 16.
