Fans of the acclaimed series "Man In The High Castle" were elated to hear the news surrounding the show's renewal and its release date.

Moreover, rumors have spread around that season 2 plot may be set in Russia.

It was reported late last year that Amazon has renewed its original drama series "The Man In The High Castle" for a second season expected to debut this year, Deadline confirmed.

And while there is no confirmed release date for the series yet, it's been said that it's most likely going to air this fall, Christian Post reported.

It was stated by Forbes as well that series creator Frank Spotnitz had already prepared for the show's renewal even before the Nov. 20 posting of season one of "Man In The High Castle," where the series was reported to be the best-performing pilot in Amazon's history.

The source also stated that series director Spotnitz deliberately underplayed the science-fiction alternative-history aspect of the story of the 1962 Hugo Award-winning novel of the same title by Philip K. Dick until the premiere season's culmination.

When the show ended with a riveting cliffhanger that left fans thrilled and baffled at the same time, as the source noted, the question remaining on peoples' minds is where will "Man In The High Castle" season 2 go from here?

In line with the release date news, Spotnitz shared his thoughts on the direction that the show is going in terms of the succeeding seasons to come.

"There is no bible for five seasons because I don't know whether this show is going to go two years or 10 years," Spotnitz said of "Man In The High Castle" season 2 future. "What I think I've learned from having done this long enough, I better know where this is going."

"Where is this going? Whether it lasts two years or 10 years, what's the end game? What's the point?

Could fans see the show's plot being set in Russia, as what rumors have been speculating, and get a glimpse of what kind of alternative-history is happening there?

As such, Frank Spotnitz elaborated in an interview his thoughts about the science-fiction facet of the show's story.

"The science fiction part is the least interesting part of the show to me, actually," the series creator said in an interview with Forbes. "This is a show where every season is going to be different.

"No two seasons are going to be the same."

Should "Man In The High Season 2" release date be aired this fall, fans are expecting to see an interesting plot twist.
