Reality TV star Tamar Braxton shared her experience on fertility treatment during Monday's episode of "The Real." The now mother of a 3-year-old son revealed that her journey to motherhood wasn't easy.

Sexologist, author and relationship expert Dr Nikki Goldstein was invited to discuss about the benefits of freezing one's eggs on the Jan. 25 episode of "The Real" where Braxton opened up about how stressful it had been for her to become a mother.

"I think emotionally was the difficult one and I knew this going into it that I would be injecting myself with hormones," said Goldstein, accounting her personal experience with freezing eggs, reported Rolling Out.

"But you've also got that this body changing and for me it wasn't so much during the process, it was afterward. And I was just one of those unlucky people that didn't recover as well as, you know, some people do," added Goldstein.

Dr. Goldstein and Tamar Braxton's discussion on fertility treatment on "The Real" was very informative to viewers.

It was then that they relayed that if a woman is planning to freeze her eggs, it is advisable to do it when she is younger.

The chances of eggs hitting success are higher at young age. Freezing eggs is a costly and highly intricate process which is stressful and challenging for the woman's body. The treatment can have side effects too along the way, according to Examiner.

"It made me bat crazy," said Braxton. "Once I did it, I gained a whole bunch of weight and that freaked me out."

"I did this because, first of all, I was afraid my kids would look like Olivia because I was older ... and then my husband got sick and I wanted to make sure we had the security behind us."

"The Real" host Tamar Braxton also disclosed that, like Dr. Goldstein, the post- treatment recovery for the infertility issues she dealt with wasn't a very smooth course.
