Despite being currently into their respective relationships, rumor has it that Lachey and Simpson have secretly reunited. This has brought up speculations that the 35-year old singer-actress has been allegedly asking her ex-husband to leave his wife Vanessa Minnillo.
According to a source, Lachey and Simpson, who ended their marriage in 2006, have kept a secret communication and constantly check each other once in a while.
Moreover, it was said that as the alleged communication remains on the line, rumors added that the phone calls have apparently become more frequent and intimate, as reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry.
While it is not clear yet as to where are these rumors about Lachey and Simpson's rekindled romance coming from, the hearsays claimed that the former flames began to get closer since October last year.
Amidst the claims about the two reuniting, some sources said that the speculations are hard to believe in the first place since Lachey and Simpson had no children together so there is definitely no reason for them to remain in contact.

A so-called 'source' claims, 'Jessica and Nick have always checked in on each other, but became closer last October."
It added, "But if it seems like this piece is nothing more than wishful thinking by some 'Newlyweds' fans, that's because it's pure tabloid fantasy."
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were married in 2002 and got divorced after four years of marriage. The "Sleepy Eyes" hit-maker began dating fashion model Vanessa Minnillo in 2006 and the two had officially tied the knot in 2011.
