HTC One M10 Release Date Revealed; Two Different Variants For Asia And The U.S.?
Smartphone giant HTC's much-anticipated new flagship could be just a few months away.
Word on the streets is that the Taiwan-based company has finally decided on the HTC One M10 release date, and if we are to go by the rumors, the One M10 will be unveiled sometime in April this year.
With that, now more unconfirmed reports about many previously unknown details about the upcoming device are surfacing, including one about the device's availability in two variants.
The rumors had hit a new high on Jan. 21 when MaximumHD ROM developer LlabTooFer categorically mentioned on Twitter that the HTC One M10 could be released on a dedicated event.
He also tweeted that the device will be flaunting Android 6.0.1 and Sense 8.0_GP.
Without going much into details, LlabTooFer also mentioned that he was anticipating two different versions of the M10 - one aimed at the US and European market and the other in China and Southeast Asia.
According to him, the US and Europe version will be powered by a Qualcomm 820 processor whereas the one meant for China and the neighboring countries will carry a MediaTeK-based processor.
LlabTooFer initially referred to the device as HTC Perfume. But upon being questioned by another Twitter user, he confirmed that Perfume was the codename for the HTC One M10.
He, however, did not clarify whether the MTK variant will have a specific model.
But, based on a recent report by the Ecumenical News, the MTK variant could come equipped with a newer chipset.
In addition to release date news, the One M10 specifications will probably include a 3000mAh battery and 23-MP primary camera, according to Tech Buffalo. It is also rumored to have a water-resistant variant with an IP68 water-resistant rating.
Another Tech Buffalo report stated that HTC might announce the official release date of HTC One M10 in an event in March.
