'Mortal Kombat X' Gameplay: Tri-borg The First Character To Have More Than 3 Variations?
NetherRealm gives better "Mortal Kombat X" gameplay by bringing a classic character.
Due to players' disapproval of the game's list of characters, the game developer introduced a new character named Tri-borg. This is in addition to the likes Bo' Rai Cho, Leatherface, Xenomorph and others for the Kombat Pack 2.
Tri-Borg is said to be the combination of Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke, wherein it splits on the said kombatants variations. As a result, the three return with their legendary special attacks that was first introduced in 2011 "Mortal Kombat" title, Warpzoned reported.
According to iDigital Times, Cyrax variation has "all the normal utility" of Cyrax from planted bombs that can be used from far, mid or close range to his buzzsaw on mid attacks and finish off combos.
As for Sektor variation, "Mortal Kombat X" new character Tri-borg can use teleport to punch back disappearing into the floor and uppercut from underneath when its opponent is standing.
Also, an added move called air dash that can only be done on the air helps players avoid attacks or hit an airborne target.
Meanwhile, Smoke is an amalgam of human Smoke from "MK9" and the classic cyborg Smoke on "MK 3 Ultimate." This disparity brings back smoke variation and air throw to attack airborne opponents.
In a recent Twitch.tv streaming, NetherRealm's Tyler Lansdown and Derek Kirtzic held a kombat kast to introduce the new "Mortal Kombat x" character Tri-borg's gameplay to players.
Surprisingly, it also revealed another variation of the new character called LK-520 based on "Cyber Sub-Zero."
Tri-borg will be available on "Mortal Kombat Pack 2" along with legacy costumes, predator pack, horro pack, samurai pack, kold war pack, Brazil pack, Klassic pack 1 and 2 and kold war skin pack.
The said pack will also be included in the upcoming "Mortal Kombat XL" on March 1 in North America and March 4 in Europe, according to PS Lifetsyle.
For players who already own "Mortal Kombat X," the upcoming pack costs $9.99 which is exclusive to Xbox One and PS4 only, according to NetherRealms' recent tweet.
