'Last Week Tonight' Season 3: Donald Trump Finds Show 'Really Boring'; John Oliver A 'Comedian Fool'

John Oliver's "Last Week Tonight" returns to TV for Season 3 - despite popular demand. A promotional video for the new season has arrived, and with it a few messages from people who really don't like Oliver.

To promote "Last Week Tonight" Season 3, Oliver decided to poke fun at his haters by using their negative reviews of the show. The trailer features Oliver sitting behind a glass desk on a raised platform in an all-white room. A number of quotes appear as Oliver's desk begins to spin.

"Brace yourselves America and get ready for the return of the most authoritative voice in all of news," an announcer says in the opening scene. "It's the show everyone's talking about."

"The Wall Street Journal says 'It makes people dumb,'" the announcer says, referring to a 2014 column with a headline that says, "John Oliver Makes People Dumb." Oliver responds, "Be honest, do you really disagree with that?"

However, the 38-year-old host himself identifies with some of the negative criticism.

"Donald Trump calls it really boring," a voice over says. Oliver responds, "I want to push back in that but I have been bored by this show."

Things got exciting for John Oliver when he discovered that Cher has some insulting remarks for him as well.

"Cher says he has a wee rat face," the announcer says. "Cher said that? Cher said that?" Oliver asked. "The Cher? We're talking about the actual Cher? Not... Well no, there's only one Cher, right?"

Oliver is known to tackle topics such corruption in both local and worldwide organizations. One of his most popular episodes involves calling out former FIFA president Jack Warner, who describes the host as a "comedian fool."

"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" Season 3 returns to HBO on Feb.14 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
