The 2016 Detroit Auto Show, also known as North American International Auto Show, will close its doors on Jan. 24, and so far it has delivered all the expectations.

The show, as usual, hosted some of the most innovative and interesting cars and concepts that are expected to hit the roads in the years to come.

Buick Avista
One of the favorite cars in the 2016 Detroit Auto Show is the newest iteration of the Buick Avista. The Avista will stand as the successor to the Buick Avenir that was unveiled in last year's show.

The car has a rear-drive platform and a powerful 3.0-liter V6 engine capable of outputting 400 horsepower, according to Car and Driver.

It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Ford Raptor
One of the most popular pickup trucks displayed on the show is the new Ford Raptor.

With the latest iteration of the Raptor, Ford ditches the tradition V8 engine and instead replaced it with the Ford GT-sourced 3.5-liter twin-turn V6.

Ford has yet to release the official specs of the pickup but car analysts suggest that it should perform better than the outgoing model which has a 411-horsepower output. The new Ford Raptor will hit the market this fall and should pick a price tag somewhere around $45,000.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The Detroit Auto Show will not be complete without a representation from Mercedes-Benz and for 2016, the German automaker did not disappoint.

Mercedes-Benz flaunted the latest 10th-generation E-Class which is bigger compared to its predecessors. It also sports a 241-horsepower turbo-four and autonomous driving features.

In a statement acquired by Auto Week, Mercedes-Benz described its latest Pre-Safe Sound as, "[the system] is based on a protective human reflex in the inner ear called the stapedius reflex."

The new E-Class should is expected to pick a price tag around $53,000 once it hits the market.
